Standing Out, Together
Dedicated to Community Journalism
Founded by Silas Lee- a multi-time published writer and journalist that has been featured in the Kansas City Defender, Lee's Summit Tribune, and multiple Colleges- Black Pages Publishing began as an independent entity meant for Silas to publish his own articles and books with other sources. However, following work as a ghost writer for several bigger publications, Silas transitioned Black Pages Publishing into an entity meant to publish articles from anyone who shared the same goal: advancing communities.

Now, Black Pages is open for any and all smaller and / or local writers to submit articles, essays, written works, or even videos. All work published by Black Pages is intended to be of open use.
Founder's Forward
Our Overview
Originally, I started BP as my way of promoting my work and submitting to other publications. Though, following much deliberation with myself, I've transitioned Black Pages Publishing LLC into an entirely new entity. Rather than being my self-publication, BP is now a platform for any and all writers that share a similar set of values and ideals.

It's about time a publication empowered the People, not corporations and not politicians. Black Pages aligns with no set political party, will never hide behind a paywall or be influenced by money, and will work on highlighting the flaws in the systems we are subject to.

BP is an independent, abolitionist publication that fights for unity within our communities.
